In May 2025, New Jersey became the first state to release a comprehensive micromobility guide that consolidates legal information into a user-friendly format. In this session, Dr. Hannah Younes and Samuel Rosenthal, AICP of Rutgers University will provide an overview of the guide which serves as a model that other states can adapt to their specific legal contexts. Dr. Younes will also present research conducted in Asbury Park, NJ, where traffic camera footage was analyzed to study the behavior of over 700 riders and the impact of bike lanes on over 9,000 motor vehicles.
